why do the reviews appear only one recipe at a time?

We like to take our time to really dig in (ha!) to each recipe. Also, it's just more practical for us to photograph, cook, and write about one recipe at a time. We're a busy working family just like everyone else! We do also rate each box as a combination of all its components - and you can see all those combined reviews HERE.

which service is the best?

While we do have some favorites, every family's priorities are different, so your favorites might be different too. See our side-by-side comparison of all the boxes we've reviewed so far HERE to get an idea of which one meets your family's priorities best.

Wow, y'all do a lot of boxes!

The way we cook and eat, one "box of three meals" generally lasts us about a day and half or so. We're feeding two adults and a kid, usually on boxes designed for two servings. We also make and eat quite a bit of what we receive as lunches and leftovers. At any given time, the three of us could be eating three different things for a meal, depending on where we are on deliveries and fridge stocks. Besides, more box reviews for you!

how do i find all your reviews about a certain cuisine/service/main ingredient in one place?

Please use the Categories section, or choose from:

Is there a box for me? I'm single/vegetarian/lactose-free/a big family. and my kid definitely won't eat that.

Probably - there are lot! But we think the best way to discover which one fits you is to try a few. We have lots of coupons HERE to get you started. Because every family's/user's priorities are different, your favorites might be different too. See our side-by-side comparison of all box services we've tried so far HERE to get an idea of which one meets your priorities best. As for kid-friendly? We've got a whole category of recipes that have earned our picky kid's approval. You might be surprised - we often are!

meal boxes are for the rich/lazy/privileged/bad cook!

There are a lot of people for whom this isn't true (like new parents, people with certain hard-to-shop dietary needs, busy working families, people with disabilities, people who don't have local access to fresh foods, those who need help finding new ideas, people who want to learn meal-planning, and those trying to eat healthier, for just a few examples), and I encourage you to read more about that HERE and HERE and HERE and HERE. And yes, your mail person deserves a tip once in a while.
